Whether you are a teenager or 40 years old and above, you might have been affected by acne at some or the other time in your life.   • If you have pimples or blackheads, never pop or squeeze them otherwise they will worsen.
  • People suffering from acne should always apply sunscreen before going out in the sun. If you suffer from body acne, do not wear tight clothes.
  • It is important to eat a healthy diet full of fresh fruits and vegetables for the betterment of skin. For proper nutrition of the skin, it is advisable to take a daily dose of multi-vitamins.
  • Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Water helps in cleaning toxins as well as hydrating the skin naturally.
  • Studies suggest that there is a direct connection between stress and acne. Whenever someone is depressed, the androgen production increases greatly. Androgen is found to excite sebaceous glands under the skin to produce more oils which leads to acne. To relieve stress and prevent acne, get enough sleep and rest well.
  • Exercise daily. This helps in reducing stress levels which is the main culprit in acne formation. After exercising, always take a shower as soon as possible since excess perspiration when combined with dust can attract bacteria in the skin pores.
