Acne, Acne, and Acne

Probably this signifies the powerful prevalence of acne. It is true that people, all over the world, belonging to all age groups suffer from all types of acne. However, I wish to interpret this as the prevalence of acne at entirely three different levels, namely absence of acne at the wish level, presence of acne as it is and acne in the solutions.

Anyone who has even remotely known or experienced acne would wholeheartedly wish for an acne clear skin. Not that acne free skin is a rarity; it is just that those who suffer from acne value it very much. How can anyone live with painful zits and pimples that are recurrent as you cannot stop yourself from touching and feeling them even as you know this will worsen the skin condition?

However rarely heard about, body acne is not rare. Acne attacks the facial skin in most of the cases, but that is not all to it. Many a time, acne affects the skin of other body parts like the chest, neck, the head, armpits, groin and even the buttocks. Acne on the face is bad for it spoils the looks of a person, but the suffering is worse if it is on other parts of the body. The itching hurts more and topical application of a soothing agent on other body parts as compared to the face is not as easy.

The prevalence of acne is more than matched by the presence of acne medicine. All types of medicines originating from different sources and covering all price ranges are available today. All acne medicines promise relief from acne. However, the effectiveness is quite subjective and understandably so. What is needed is prudent understanding of the problem and selection of a matching solution after carefully weighing the pros and cons of the available options.
