Scars are ugly. Scars are always a follow-up of something already ugly and acne scars are no exception. Many a time people who suffer from acne tend to suffer from acne scars as well. This is understandably something that is not easy to live with as most of the time, it is the face that is affected, first with acne and then with acne scars.
What is the remedy? It is fairly simple. First of all, one should understand the pimple type. Mild forms of acne are mostly curable by themselves. Probably it takes only a couple of days. Sometimes simple home remedies or topical application of any suitable cream helps cure the problem. But then with some people the problem persists for longer.
It could be their lifestyle or their food habits. These are easier to manage than the cases of acne due to hormonal effects or having a family history of acne. The pimples become bigger and take the form of acne cysts. These are more painful and are pus filled. So it is but natural that a person scratches and touches these more often. The effect is that such pimples take longer to cure and become scars.
Once this progress path of acne and acne scars is clear, one should immediately consult the doctor and follow the advice. Simultaneously the person should carefully follow some very common acne don’ts. First of all leave the acne cysts alone Do not touch them. Next is not to wash the face vey often with soap or face washes that are not mild. Plain water is much better. Lastly, one should not take tension about pimples as that will never help. That way, you see, you shall scare away the scars rather than being scared by them.

Acne is a natural phenomenon that mostly occurs during teens and cures itself in a few years. However, acne during infancy or middle age is also pretty common though thank God, not as common as teen acne. So, the only acne care one needs at times is to just let it run its own course without worrying about it.
But then, even the simplest form of acne may be too itchy and disconcerting to be ignored. Then, you must remember that scratching would help it grow even further and even though your face and probably your acne is the first thing they would notice, but then that is not all where they would stop. Will you stop interacting with your friend because he or she has acne? I guess not. So please stop being self conscious in the first place.
If the acne persists longer and is too troublesome, then perhaps you do need to explore acne medicine. This field is as vast as the spread of acne. Simple home made natural treatments using natural ingredients have given way to a multitude of creams, gels, and lotions, made of chemical substances. These are over the counter products that may help remove acne faster, but then all creams are not suitable for all skin types so one has to be really careful.
The doctor could be consulted, who with his specialized knowledge about dermatology and advanced treatments may suggest antibiotics or even laser therapy, chemical peelings and what not. These are effective, for a short while at times and cost quite a bit.
Some people have found a link between acne and the food that they eat. Avoiding some foods and eating others helps them keep acne under control. Acne diet is another helpful area of research one should be aware of. Keeping a close watch on one’s diet may yield helpful clues.
