Acne Post Teenage

Whosoever hasn’t heard of adult acne is probably an epitome of ‘ignorance is bliss’. People suffering from acne nurture hopes that acne shall go away at adult age are unaware that this is not actually true. Statistics prove that adult acne is fairly common. 25% men and 50% women bear this cross. I only hope teenagers suffering from acne are not reading this. But if they are, I would ask them not to lose hope. Not all people carry acne to their middle age. And anyway, acne treatments are always there.

Natural care and home remedies for acne are good initially as well as over a long period of time.. Drink lots of water and keeping facial skin oil and dirt free by washing mildly and not too often. Try to include vitamin A, B, and E and zinc in your diet. Use home made pastes to soothe your skin. A little experimentation or advice from some one experienced would help clear your skin by using, turmeric, curd, fuller’s earth, honey, rosewater, fenugreek seeds, cream, aloe vera, coriander paste, fruit pulps, etc.

Trying to remain stress free and keeping your hands and hair away from your facial skin is important. However, severe cases may require the help of a skin specialist as sometimes antibiotics may be required. In this case pregnant women are advised to avoid antibiotics that tend to harm the fetus. Acne facials, chemical peels, dermabrasions, or even laser treatment could be your choice. The only advice here is to check the credentials of the specialist very carefully. More than the cost what is at stake is your skin, a very delicate and important part of yourself.
