Acne Cysts or Cystic Acne ?

Do you think these are different names for one same thing? You are both right and wrong at the same time. Wondering how? I’ll explain.  Acne cysts generally refer to pimples, blackheads, whiteheads and other skin eruptions that cause inflammation and discomfort. However, cystic acne is the most severe form where the cysts are actually nodules of inflammation and not just skin eruptions. These are bigger, pus filled and painful too. The skin on the neck, shoulders, chest, and back is also affected in such cases. Normally, nodulocystic acne, the other name of cystic acne is rarer and more difficult to heal as compared to acne cysts.

Acne free skin is nature’s gift to mankind maybe restricted to a lucky few. Most persons suffer skin problems during their teenage due to hormonal changes, genetic factors or even over exposure to harsh climatic conditions as well as skin products. The skin type differs from person to person, ranging from oily to dry. Overdoing the corrective procedure also worsens the problem at times, as does total neglect.

Where treating acne cysts leads to a choice varying from inexpensive kitchen ingredients based home remedies to the highly research based technically sophisticated professional treatments that literally burn a hole in your pocket. How effective is the treatment may or may not correlate with the cost. The proof of the pudding is in eating it.

Within these two extremes are other treatments; over the counter products, creams, gels, and lotions are just as effective in some cases. But slightly tougher cases are better of with consultation with a skin specialist. He could prescribe antibiotics or even a combination. Beauty experts have come up  with acne facials that are worth a try.
